Attendees: Credential reported 78 on Signed in: 73 National Members eligible to vote.

Meeting was called to order at 9:00 a.m. by President Carole de Losada. Carole welcomed everyone and introduced National WCR President, Maxine Jennings; Margo Willis, Region VIII Vice President, Past State Presidents, Linda Hofstatter, Emily Link, Bill Aboumrad, and Nita Lyons; Governors: Emily Link, Sabrina Shewfelt, Linda Ellen Anderson, Jeri Jorgenson, and Ruth A. Hayles; and the head table: Treasurer, Mary Jane Cambria; President Elect, Betty Taisch; Parliamentarian, Judy Myers, and Secretary, Sharon Telles.

Pledge of Allegiance was led by Joyce Marinelli, Long Beach Chapter. Inspiration was given by Susan Clark, Monterey Peninsula Chapter President followed by Amazing Grace.

Roll Call was taken. Governing Board Members present: 4 State Officers; 5

Governors; 22 Chapters represented; 20 Committee Chairmen; Judy Myers, Parliamentarian. Quorum Present.

LTG Presentation: Margo Willis

Region VIII Vice President presented the LTG Award to Fay B. King.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

Technology: Jenny Jeffries

Calendars are on the Website. New officers will be on the Website by January 1, 2002.

President’s Task Force Membership Recruitment: James Nevans

National WCR is going to give lists from disband local chapters. Member survey taken as to possible expansion site for new Chapters.

Scholarship: Denise Aquila

Denise presented scholarship awards to Marcie Casares, Beth Anderson, Cynthia Chiasson, Tish Shaikh, Susan Clark, Sandy Mason, and Toni Lane. Scholarship Applications are on line now and the Joanne McEachern Memorial Scholarship application will be on line as soon as completed.

Carole reminded the LCP’s that she needed their reports by the end of the month; Governors needed to have their reports to Regional Vice President by end of the month as well as copy to Carole.

Chapter Presidents need to report dues changes to the National Office by October 31, 2001.

Credential Committee: Carole Meyers

Carol Meyers moved that $100. is allocated per meeting for a total of $300. for the purchase of plastic holders and name badges for the State meetings. Seconded. Carried.

WCR California REALTORS EXPO Booth: Lori Staehling

Lori needs help with staffing and selling tickets for the EXPO booth.

Lori Staehling moved that we give one free membership to WCR at the EXCPO Booth with a maximum of $145. Seconded. Carried.

Platinum Sponsor NHD’s John Boquet gave a presentation.

Emily Link, 2002 RVP announced that the 2002 Regional will be in San Diego June 29 thru July 1st, 2001.

Bylaws Committee: Mike Riley

2002 PRESIDENT’S REMARKS: Betty Taisch

The California State Chapter theme for 2002 will be “2002 The Difference is You!!!

State Meeting Schedule for 2002:

January 21st and 22nd - WCR Meetings and Installation, Renaissance Hollywood Hotel,
Hollywood. C.A.R. meetings are the 23rd to the 26th.
June 3rd and 4th – WCR Meetings, Hyatt Regency, Sacramento. C.A.R. meetings are the
5th to the 8th.
October 7th and 8th, WCR Meetings, Hyatt Regency, Long Beach. C.A.R. meeting are the 9th to the 12th.

Credential Committee: Carol Meyers

Carol reported 73 national members eligible to vote and 78 signed in.

Nominating Committee: Linda Hoffstatter

Linda recognized the Nominating Committee members and acknowledged the excellent work that they had done this year.

The Nominating Committees nominations for National Governors are North, Carole de Losada and South, Ruth A. Hayles.

Ruth A. Hayles and Carole de Losada were elected as the nominations for the National Governors to replace Julie Milam and Jeri Jorgenson.

The following members were elected to the Nominating Committee for 2002: Governing Board—Denise Aquila, Toni Lane, and Sarah Lay; general membership—Edie Neumeyer, Lori Staehling, and Linda Amodaeo; alternates—Jim Cobb and Maxine Feil.

Announcements:

San Fernando and Conejo Chapters are co-sponsoring LTG VIII.
Lynn Blumberg, San Fernando Valley Chapter, need recipes for their cookbook.
Jenny Jeffries, Contra Costa Chapter Fashion Show Tickets
Karlene Westfall announced Past State President Pat Engel has breast cancer and would like to have calls at 408-224-8828
Arti Miglani, Tri-cities is selling raffle tickets for a Thanksgiving raffle for $1,000.
Linda Amodeo, LA/Orange County Line is having a Golf tournament on 11/14 for the City of Hope
Bobbie Nelson invited everyone to come to the State meeting in January. Tuesday night will be the installation and will have the Great Gatsby theme.
Betty announced that the State Meetings are January 21 and 22nd and will begin on Monday at 10:00 a.m.

The raffle for the basket donated by Pat Frederick raised $243.

The meeting was adjourned at 12:18 p.m.
